Regular Meeting Schedule
• First Monday of selected months at 7pm - Union County Volunteer firefighters Assn.
(Meeting rotates among the county's district HQ stations)
• First Tuesday of each month at 8pm - Business Meeting
• Second Tuesday of each month at 7pm - Fire training
• Third Tuesday of each month - Hallco Training
• Fourth Tuesday of each month at 7pm - Emergency medical training
Annual Events
• Each year in January or February, the department hosts a dinner for the families of members to thank them for their patience with and support of our time away from them as we strive to serve our community.
• In the Spring, we conduct our annual fund raising letter drive to finance those regular operating costs not covered by the county.
• On the 4th of July the department sponsors and produces what has become one of the better Independence Day fireworks displays in the North Georgia.
Concession stands, patriotic music, and hopefully cloggers and old time mountain music.
• On the first Saturday in August the community is invited to the Suches Community Center for dinner as we thank them for their support of our efforts.
